For the JX Nippon Mining & Metals Group to maintain international competitiveness in the copper smelting and refining business, it is of the utmost importance to secure stable, long-term supplies of high-quality resources. Accordingly, the Group has been an active participant in resource-development projects overseas, principally in Chile, from their development stages.
