Nissho Koun Co., Ltd., (President: Hashiuchi Fumio; "Nissho Koun"), a group company of JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation (President: Murayama Seiichi) has changed its trade name to JX Metals Smelting Logitech Co., Ltd. ("JX Metals Smelting Logitech") with effect from today.

　

Nissho Koun plays an important role at the JX Metals Smelting Co., Ltd. Saganoseki Smelter & Refinery ("Saganoseki Smelter & Refinery"), where it carries out loading and unloading, transportation, manufacturing, etc. on consignment. Saganoseki Smelter & Refinery and Nissho Koun are currently improving logistics functions and operations, and the decision to change Nissho Koun's trade name to JX Metals Smelting Logitech, containing the "JX Metals" prefix, has been made in the aim of further advancing these efforts together in the future.

　

With a view to realizing the "JX Metals Group Long-Term Vision 2040," the Group is striving to further reinforce its Metals & Recycling Business by pursuing the optimal mix of mineral resources and recycled resources. Saganoseki Smelter & Refinery is a key site for these efforts, and under its new trade name JX Metals Smelting Logitech aims to achieve further growth and boost its contribution to making the Saganoseki Smelter & Refinery more competitive.

　

By strengthening its Metals & Recycling Business, the JX Nippon Mining & Metals Group will continue to contribute to creating a recycling-oriented, decarbonized society.
