Announcement of Organizational Changes
JX Metals Corporation (President: Hayashi Yoichi; "the Company") will establish a new Johannesburg Office within the Mineral Resources Division, effective August 1, 2023.
Africa has many mines extracting rare metals such as tantalum and titanium, which are essential resources for the Company's focus businesses. The Company is also considering participation in new projects in the region, where several of its raw material suppliers are located. Johannesburg, a major city in the Republic of South Africa, is an information hub for the resource, smelting, and refining fields in Africa, and establishing an office in the region will create an organizational structure capable of further promoting the examination and implementation of such resource development projects as well as responsible procurement from business partners.
