End of Strike at the Caserones Copper Mine

A recent strike has ended on September 4 at the Caserones copper mine, where SCM Minera Lumina Copper Chile (CEO: Kuroiwa Motohiro; "MLCC"), a subsidiary of JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation (President: Murayama Seiichi), operates in the Republic of Chile. The strike, which started on August 10, ended when the collective agreement negotiations were concluded between MLCC and one of its labor unions, mainly consisting of mining operators. MLCC is now in the process of restoring normal operations at the mine.
