Sustainability

Here we introduce the JX Metals Group's ESG Activities, by which we seek to contribute to the sustainable development of the economy and society through our business activities.

Sustainability Report

You are invited to read our annual Sustainability Report introducing the Group's ESG activities.
The Report is prepared in accordance with the guidelines in the GRI Standards, the international standards for sustainability reports. It is organized according to the Material Issues for ESG Activities, which reflect changes in the Group's business environment and the demands of society.

Toward Net-Zero CO2 Emissions

Our Contributions to Society

The Group is engaged in management of closed mines, which includes treating acid mine drainage, and is working to maintain and restore the natural environment in and around the closed mines through reforestation and other activities.

Activities for Developing the Next Generation of Human Resources

We believe it is essential to develop the next generation of human resources to ensure the future stable acquisition and supply of nonferrous metal resources and materials. We are therefore conducting outreach activities to encourage young people to take an interest in science in general, and metals in particular.

CSR Purchasing

We will continue to ensure our responsibility to society is being fulfilled throughout the entire supply chain by taking action in such areas as respect for human rights, occupational health and safety, compliance, and environmental protection.

We have received "Kurumin" certification from Japan's Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, recognizing our support for employees with children, as well as "Excellent Health and Productivity Management Corporation (White 500)" certification from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Nippon Kenko Kaigi.
